The main radii of curvature are measured at three points as close as possible to one-third, one-half and two-thirds of the length of the major arc of the reflecting surface passing through the centre of that surface, in a vertical plane, or of the major arc passing through the centre of that surface, in a horizontal plane, if the latter part is the longer.
