Notwithstanding Israel's planned unilateral ‘disengagement’ from the Gaza Strip, and certain political developments since the death of Yasser Arafat, over one year after a ruling by the International Court of Justice, which confirmed that the Separation Wall was an impediment to the Palestinian people's right to self-determination, Israel continues to defy international law.
