In partnership with the local economic development agency, the St. Paul Port Authority, and a private recycling paper mill, District Energy has also embarked on an ambitious plan to convert the Rock-Tenn paper mill to a clean energy source, burning biogas from an anaerobic digester that converts waste residue from a neighbouring ethanol plant into renewable fuel.
