In a case heard by the Supreme Court earlier this year, the Canadian Association of Statutory Rights Agencies, CASHRA, of which the commission is a member, supported the argument that the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights should be persuasive in interpreting the Charter of Rights and Freedoms.
