The Commission had concluded that the tax reduction provided an advantage to certain firms situated in a particular region of Portugal. For the Commission, the tax reduction was not justified under the Portuguese tax system because the said tax reduction was not available to other undertakings carrying out comparable investments or operations than the ones carried out by the beneficiaries in other areas of Portugal.
La Commission a conclu que cette réduction avantageait certaines entreprises installées dans une certaine région du Portugal et qu’elle ne se justifiait pas au regard du système fiscal portugais étant donné que, dans d’autres régions du Portugal, les entreprises réalisant des investissements ou des opérations comparables à celles effectuées par les bénéficiaires de cette réduction, n’y avaient pas droit.
