Grâce à l'appareil d'échographie écho-Doppler couleur et à des techniciens expérimentés, nous avons diagnostiqué l'IVCC dans les proportions suivantes : 56 p. 100 des patients atteins de SP; 42 p. 100 des patients souffrant d'autres troubles neurologiques; 38 p. 100 des patients présentant une atteinte clinique initiale — le syndrome isolé cliniquement ou SIC —; 22 p. 100 des sujets en santé.
By using echo-colour Doppler standardized in expert hands, we found that CCSVI was present in 56 per cent of MS patients. It was present in 42 per cent of other neurological diseases. It appeared in 38 per cent of patients at first clinical attack — so-called clinically isolated syndrome, or CIS — and we also found CCSVI in 22 per cent of healthy controls.
