Going back to the model which I think is basic to much of western economics, the model of individuals who for the most part are related as individuals with rights competing in an economy for jobs and so on, but under a rule of law with the government making those laws and enforcing them, how apt is that model for the understanding what is going on in Thailand or in Indonesia or indeed in China?
