J'aimerais aujourd'hui souligner deux sujets importants en ce qui concerne les soins de santé buccodentaire dans notre pays: les soins buccodentaires offerts aux Premières nations, aux Inuits et aux Innus; et la hausse des frais de scolarité qui menace la viabilité et la diversité des inscriptions dans les programmes professionnels, ainsi que la capacité de ces programmes à attirer et à garder les enseignants de haut calibre.

Ironically, while the first nations, Inuit, and Innu people receiving this benefit would, at first blush, appear to have an advantage in access to care when compared to other Canadians, the oral health of this group lags sadly behind, mirroring that of many developing nations.
