Un premier thème ("Infostructure pour les services d'intérêt public") regroupera des recherches destinées à favoriser les échanges d'information entre administrations (par exemple pour mettre rapidement à jour les cartes géographiques, réaliser des vidéoconférences) ou à offrir au monde médical des outils nouveaux et performants (accès à des systèmes experts de diagnostic, assistance chirurgicale à distance, "télémédecine" à l'intention de patients situés dans des régions isolées).
The first theme (Infostructure for services of public interest) will bring together research intended to encourage the exchange of information between authorities (e.g. for the rapid updating of geographical maps, and for videoconferences) and to provide the medical professions with new and efficient tools (access to expert diagnostic systems, remote assistance for surgeons, and "telemedicine" for patients in isolated areas).
