Le 24 janvier 2013, l'Autorité européenne de sécurité des aliments (EFSA) a adopté un avis scientifique sur le risque de transmission de la tremblante classique lors du transfert chez des ovins d'embryons obtenus in vivo (2), dans lequel elle estimait ce risque négligeable en cas d'implantation d'embryons ovins homozygotes ou hétérozygotes ARR, à condition que les recommandations et procédures de l'OIE relatives au transfert d'embryons soient respectées.
On 24 January 2013, the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) adopted a scientific opinion on the risk of transmission of classical scrapie via in vivo derived embryo transfer in ovine animals (2), where it concluded that the risk of transmitting classical scrapie by the implantation of homozygous or heterozygous ovine ARR embryos could be considered negligible providing that the OIE recommendations and procedures relating to embryo transfer are adhered to.
