L’article 43 de la directive 2006/88/CE dispose que, lorsqu’une maladie non répertoriée à son annexe IV, partie II, constitue un risque significatif pour la situation sanitaire des animaux d’aquaculture ou des animaux aquatiques sauvages dans un État membre, celui-ci peut prendre des mesures pour prévenir l’introduction de cette maladie ou pour lutter contre celle-ci.
