During the Liberal closure of CFB Cornwallis, the memorial windows in the St. George's Chapel at that base in Nova Scotia, commemorating the 24 Royal Canadian Navy warships lost in the Battle of the Atlantic, were removed and moved to Halifax, where they were held in storage until they were placed in the chapel at Shannon Park.
