1. se félicite vivement du RSG faisant suite au RGHN sur les menaces, les défis et le changement et soutient fermement la détermination sous-jacente à réaliser une réforme conséquente et profonde des Nations unies, afin d'adapter l'organisation aux nouvelles réalités mondiales et de la rendre plus efficace, équitable, durable et responsable dans ses efforts vers une sécurité collective au XXI siècle; se félicite particulièrement de l'approche réaliste des deux rapports qui, au contraire des précédentes propositions de réforme, combinent une vision avec des mesures concrètes et axées sur la pratique en vue d'actions;

Warmly welcomes the RSG following on from the RHP and strongly supports the underlying determination to achieve a consistent and thorough reform of the United Nations in order to adapt the organisation to new world realities and make it more efficient, equitable, geared to the long term and accountable in providing collective security in the 21st century; particularly welcomes the realistic approach of both reports, which, unlike previous reform proposals, adequately combine vision with concrete and practice-oriented measures for action;
