Et puisque nous sommes le 19 avril, j'en profite pour évoquer rapidement un autre privilège, celui de pouvoir célébrer l'anniversaire du coup de feu qui a été « entendu de par le monde » et qui a marqué le début de la Révolution américaine, le 19 avril 1775, près de Boston.
Doing so on this day of April 19 allows me to allude to a second related privilege, that of marking the anniversary of the “shot heard round the world”, the day in which the American Revolution began on April 19, 1775, near Boston, especially momentous as Bostonians are in lockdown as we speak, confronted by an assault on freedom and democracy.
