Le Code international de commercialisation des substituts du lait maternel publié par l’Organisation mondiale de la santé vise à "contribuer à procurer aux nourrissons une nutrition sûre et adéquate en protégeant et en encourageant l’allaitement au sein et en assurant une utilisation correcte des substituts du lait maternel, quand ceux-ci sont nécessaires, sur la base d’une information adéquate et au moyen d’une commercialisation et d’une distribution appropriées".
(EN) The International Code of Marketing of Breast-milk Substitutes published by the World Health Organisation aims ‘to contribute to the provision of safe and adequate nutrition for infants, by the protection and promotion of breast-feeding, and by ensuring the proper use of breast-milk substitutes, when these are necessary, on the basis of adequate information and through appropriate marketing and distribution’.
