L’extension du métro de l’agglomération toulousaine fait partie du Plan de Déplacements Urbains (PDU) qui fixe les orientations de la politique des déplacements à l’horizon 2015.Son ambition est de renforcer son attractivité à l’échelle européenne, avec un double objectif de durabilité et de qualité par le développement d’axes structurants performants complétés par un réseau en site propre plus léger favorisant la multimodalité.
The extension of the Greater Toulouse metro forms part of the Urban Transport Plan, which lays down the guidelines for transport policy up until 2015. The aim is to enhance the appeal of Toulouse on a European scale, attaining the twofold objective of sustainability and quality through the development of key transport arteries and a lighter, exclusive-lane network in a multimodal approach.
