1. Lorsque l’Union agit en qualité de partie défenderesse dans un différend portant sur un traitement accordé, en tout ou partie, par un État membre, et que la Commission estime qu’un accord transactionnel en vue du règlement du différend serait dans l’intérêt financier de l’Union, la Commission consulte au préalable l’État membre concerné conformément à l’article 6.
1. Where the Union is the respondent in a dispute concerning treatment afforded, whether fully or in part, by a Member State, and the Commission considers that the settlement of the dispute would be in the financial interests of the Union, the Commission shall first consult with the Member State concerned pursuant to Article 6.
