Par dérogation à l'article 3, point a), et sans préjudice de l'article 2, les États membres peuvent autoriser l'administration à des animaux d'exploitation, en vue d'un traitement zootechnique, de médicaments vétérinaires à effet œstrogène (autres que l'œstradiol 17 ß et ses dérivés estérifiés), androgène ou gestagène, autorisés conformément à la directive 2001/82/CE du Parlement européen et du Conseil du 6 novembre 2001 instituant un code communautaire relatif aux médicaments vétérinaires .
Notwithstanding Article 3(a) and without prejudice to Article 2, Member States may authorise the administering to farm animals, for the purpose of zootechnical treatment, of veterinary medicinal products having an oestrogenic (other than oestradiol 17β and its ester-like derivatives), androgenic or gestagenic action which are authorised in accordance with Directive 2001/82/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 6 November 2001 on the Community code relating to veterinary medicinal products .
