Le Commissaire FISCHLER a indiqué que la Communauté se constituerait tierce partie dans le différend opposant le Chili à l'Argentine sur le même sujet, dans le cadre d'un panel qui devrait se tenir prochainement devant l'Organe de règlement des différends (ORD) auprès de l'Organisation Mondiale du Commerce (OMC) et ce, afin de faire valoir son intérêt légitime dans ce domaine.
Commissioner FISCHLER stated that the Community was to act as a third party in the dispute between Chile and Argentina on the same subject, in the framework of a panel to be held shortly before the Dispute Settlement Body (DSB) of the World Trade Organisation (WTO), to assert its legitimate interest in this field.
