The information at the Commission's disposal indicates that LMP, should be excluded from the scope of the product concerned, as it appears to have different basic physical and chemical characteristics and end uses in comparison to other types of polyester staple fibres.

The purpose of the investigation leading to the above Regulation and carried out by the Commission was to determine whether or not the expiry of the current anti-dumping measures regarding PSF, in particular those imposed on Taiwan in 1988 (as modified in 1992) and on Korea in 1993, would lead to a continuation or recurrence of dumping.
