55. souligne, dans le cadre de la nouvelle stratégie, combien il importe d'œuvrer au réseau transeuropéen de transport (TEN-T), ainsi qu'aux lignes directrices qui l'ordonnent, afin de mettre en place un réseau européen de transport efficace, plurimodal et global (qui règlerait entre autres les problèmes d'absence d'infrastructures adaptées, d'accessibilité et de faible interopérabilité entre les différentes parties de l'Union), en résorbant les goulets d'étranglement et en comblant les lacunes actuelles, en particulier au niveau des sections transfrontalières et des liaisons entre États membres orientaux et États membres occidentaux;

Underlines, within the framework of the new strategy, importance of the work on the TEN-T network and the TEN-T guidelines, in order to develop an efficient, multimodal and comprehensive EU transport infrastructure network (inter alia, addressing the issues of lack of appropriate infrastructure, accessibility and low interoperability between various parts of the EU), to remove the bottlenecks and fill in the missing links, in particular in cross-border sections and links between eastern and western Member States;
