Le président de l'Union des producteurs agricoles et porte-parole de GO5, [.] M. Laurent Pellerin, s'est dit, pour sa part, très inquiet: « À la veille du renouvellement du mandat des négociateurs canadiens, si ce qui est actuellement sur la table à l'OMC devait être entériné — baisse des tarifs hors contingent et augmentation de l'accès à nos marchés du lait, des oeufs et de la volaille —, cela signerait l'arrêt de mort des productions sous gestion de l'offre.
Laurent Pellerin, president of the Union des producteurs agricoles and spokesperson for the GO5, has voiced serious concerns. He said “On the eve of the renewal of the Canadian negotiators' mandate, if what is currently on the WTO table is to be agreed to—that being the lowering of over-quota tariffs and increased access to our milk, egg and poultry markets—this would be a death sentence for any productions that are under supply management”—
