Although the time I have is very brief, I must tell the Commissioner that regardless of what we or the Commission might think about case-law or the law in force, it is under an obligation to implement the Treaties and move ahead, and that it has no authority to hold any rule or anything which may affect the Community acquis in abeyance.
Malgré la brièveté du temps qui m'est imparti, je dois dire à M. le Commissaire que quel que soit son avis ou celui de la Commission sur la jurisprudence ou sur la loi en vigueur, la Commission est tenue d'appliquer les traités et de réagir, et qu'elle n'a aucune autorité pour suspendre aucune règle ni quoi que ce soit qui puisse avoir un impact sur l'acquis communautaire.
