20. Advises the Council, in support of its policy, to ask the Commission for a comparative study of the position of Islam and Muslim organizations in the various Member States, which should consider, inter alia: the official status of Islam, existing arrangements for compliance with religious obligations (religious holidays, ritual slaughter, funeral ceremonies), the construction of religious buildings, and educational and cultural facilities, and to disseminate the study widely in the EU;
20. recommande au Conseil, pour soutenir sa politique, de demander à la Commission une étude comparative sur la situation de l'islam et des organisations musulmanes dans les différents États membres, étude portant notamment sur le statut officiel de l'islam, les dispositions en vigueur en ce qui concerne l'accomplissement des devoirs religieux (fêtes religieuses, abattages rituels, enterrements), la construction d'édifices religieux, les infrastructures pour les domaines de l'éducation et de la culture, et de diffuser largement cette étude dans l'Union européenne;
