Prior to Manitoba Telecom Services Inc., MTS, being sold and going private, many of us who lived in rural parts of Manitoba or travelled all over the province, such as I did with my business, chose MTS over Rogers because MTS, being owned by government, had an obligation to supply the province with cellphones.
