During our visit we visited the Claremont coffee estate, where 50 families who have lived and worked on that estate for three generations, living in what can only be described as feudal conditions, were thrown off their farm because the owner, who happens to be the sister-in-law of the country’s president, decided that she did not want them on the estate and wanted to change what they were doing.
Durant notre visite, nous nous sommes rendus à la plantation de café Claremont, où 50 familles qui vivaient et travaillaient sur cette propriété depuis trois générations, dans des conditions de vie qu’on ne peut que qualifier de féodales, ont été expulsées de leur ferme parce que la propriétaire, qui est la belle-sœur du président du pays, a décidé qu’elle ne les voulait pas sur la propriété et voulait changer ce qu’ils faisaient.
