Durant sa vie très occupée, Marian a travaillé sans relâche, en tant que femme d'affaires, mais aussi en tant qu'animatrice communautaire dans sa chère ville de Thunder Bay, donnant toujours beaucoup plus que ce qu'on attendait d'elle, que ce soit pour le St. Joseph's Hospital Auxiliary, les Grands Frères de Thunder Bay, la section de Toronto de la Fondation canadienne du rein, le Chronic Care Hospital de Runnymede, ou encore en tant que présidente de «Thunderama», qui commémore la fusion de Fort William et de Port Arthur, ou en tant qu'interviewer pour Maclean Hunter, à la chaîne 7.
Throughout her busy life, Marian has worked tirelessly, as a businesswoman and community organizer in her beloved Thunder Bay, always giving much more than she had to, whether it was for the St. Joseph's Hospital Auxiliary or the Thunder Bay Big Brothers, whether it was for the Toronto Chapter of the Canadian Kidney Association or the Chronic Care Hospital at Runnymede, whether it was as chairman of " Thunderama," which is the celebration of the amalgamation of Fort William and Port Arthur, or as an interviewer for Channel 7 Maclean Hunter.
