Cools: Honourable senators, pursuant to rule 57(1) and (2), and 58(2), I give notice that I will call the attention of the Senate to an attempted neonaticide, being the brutal attempted homicide of a newlyborn infant who was born in a private home and then shot in the head in Carleton Place, Ontario, and who was sent to the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario in Ottawa a few days ago; and to the work of Dr. Charles Smith, a pediatric forensic pathologist with Toronto's Hospital for Sick Children's Ontario Pediatric Forensic Pathology Unit et al. on neonaticide in the province of Ontario.
