But the cases I deal with in my constituency office are often from the only patient in my constituency, or maybe in the whole greater Toronto area, who has some really, really weird disease for which there is a medication available in Europe, but it's obvious to me that the company doesn't want to invest in the whole process of getting its drug approved here, if we only have 10 known patients in the country.
Par contre, les cas qui sont portés à ma connaissance dans mon bureau de circonscription concernent souvent un seul patient, le seul de ma circonscription, voire de toute la région de Toronto, qui a une maladie vraiment très étrange pour laquelle il existe un médicament en Europe, alors que je sais pertinemment que la compagnie pharmaceutique ne veut pas prendre la peine de faire approuver ce médicament ici, avec tout ce que cela suppose, s'il n'y a que 10 patients qui en ont besoin au Canada.
